A self-healing coating is a functional top layer applied to the surface of a car wrap. Raw Material Selection
We select premium PVC film as the core raw material, which offers excellent UV resistance, resistance to yellowing, and high tensile strength. In addition, we prepare auxiliary materials such as heat stabilizers and acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives in accordance with industry standards.
Film Extrusion
A uniform base film layer is formed through extrusion or calendared vinyl film processes. During this process, we strictly control thickness tolerances, flatness, extrusion speed, and additive ratios to minimize issues such as uneven appearance and color variations.
Self-Healing Coating
A functional polymer-based self-healing coating is precisely applied to the surface of the PVC base film using a coating machine. After controlled drying and curing, the coating forms a flexible protective layer that helps minor scratches recover when exposed to suitable heat.
Adhesive Coating
An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) is applied to the back of the base film, enabling the automotive film to form a stable bond with the treated paint surface. Lamination

Roll Cutting & Packaging
We will precision-cut the approved self-healing car wrap and package it according to your specifications to prevent crushing, deformation, or moisture damage during shipping.
Self-healing car wraps are primarily effective at removing minor surface scratches, water spots, and fine scuff marks. For deeper scratches, severe tears, or damage from collisions, you can recommend that your customers replace the car wrap.
- Thoroughly clean the vehicle’s surface: Before installation, remove all dust and grease from the vehicle’s surface to ensure they do not interfere with the adhesion of the car wrap to the vehicle.
- Inspect the paintwork: If you notice peeling, scratches, rust, or dents in the paintwork, we recommend performing spot repairs first.
- Control the application temperature: Follow the recommended application temperature for the specific adhesive and film series to ensure the car wrap’s flexibility and that the adhesive is in optimal condition.
- Proper application technique: Avoid overstretching the car wrap. When using a squeegee, slowly push outward from the center to remove air bubbles from beneath the film.
There is no set lifespan for self-healing car wraps; it primarily depends on the quality of the material, the installation process, the usage environment and frequency, and maintenance practices. Under normal conditions, a high-quality self-healing car wrap can last at least three to five years. When the car wrap shows signs of noticeable fading, loss of gloss, irreparable scratches, or peeling edges, it needs to be replaced.

The MOQ for our standard self-healing car wraps is 5 rolls. For custom self-healing car wraps, our MOQ is 50 to 100 rolls per design. The MOQ for custom logos is 50 rolls per design, and the MOQ for fully customized packaging (including individual color boxes, labels, and outer cartons) is 100 rolls. For first-time customers, we are also open to negotiating smaller sample orders.
