6.5mil PPF
It has excellent extensibility and can easily adapt to various complex vehicle curves and edges, requiring almost no additional construction techniques. It is mainly used for daily light driving protection in cities.
7.5 – 8.5 mil PPF
This is a common medium-high thickness PPF specification on the market. It can meet common risks such as road gravel, sand, and minor scratches, and will not significantly increase the construction difficulty of complex curves due to the excessive thickness of the film material.
10 mil PPF
This can provide high-level protection, which can absorb huge impact energy of 12 to 18 joules. At the same time, it can better highlight the deep texture of the metallic paint and is the preferred choice for customers who pursue ultimate protection and texture.
It is worth noting that if the thickness exceeds 10 mil (such as 12 mil or above), although the impact resistance performance slightly improves, the material cost will increase by 30% to 50%, and the installation difficulty and rebound risk will double. Therefore, choosing the appropriate thickness is more important than simply pursuing a thicker material.

Designed for Easier Installation
Compared to standard-thickness PPF, 10 mil PPF may indeed present greater challenges during installation. However, increased thickness does not necessarily mean the product is difficult to install.
High Elongation

Repositionable Adhesive

During the scraping and positioning process, if adjustments are needed in specific areas, you can gently peel back the material and reposition it. This leaves absolutely no adhesive residue or adhesive marks.
Air-Release Adhesive
We design an air-release structure for 10 mil PPF to help guide air out through the air channels with no need to repeatedly lift the film to vent air in sections. Instead, you can smooth out bubbles across the entire surface in one go. This significantly improves overall installation efficiency.
