7.5 mil PPF Supplier in China
WrapMasterPPF 7.5 mil PPF is commonly used for full-car wraps and on high-risk areas prone to damage, helping to reduce the effects of stone chips, everyday scratches, and UV rays. 7.5 mil offers the ideal balance of daily protection and flexibility. For extreme off-road or high-impact protection, you may also explore our 8.5 or 10 mil series. Before placing your order, please confirm the PPF’s color, finish, specifications, quantity, and any custom branding requirements.
Our 7.5 mil PPF features strong hydrophobic properties that minimize water droplet retention on the vehicle’s surface, thereby helping to reduce water spots. By optimizing the adhesive layer’s initial tack and ensuring minimal residue, we help reduce installation errors and rework costs. Additionally, our PPF is ISO 9001 and RoHS certified, helping you bring your products to market quickly and earn consumer trust.

It features high reflectivity and a finish that closely resembles the original factory paint. This 7.5 mil PPF is suitable for nearly all vehicle models.

With its low-glare finish and softer texture, it beautifully accentuates the vehicle’s contours, making it ideal for sports cars, coupes, and SUVs.

What Does “mil” Mean in “7.5 mil PPF”?

“Mil” refers to one-thousandth of an inch (0.001 inch or 0.0254 millimeters). 7.5 mil refers to the total thickness of the PPF structure, which typically includes:
- Topcoat: Features heat-repair/self-healing capabilities, strong hydrophobicity, and resistance to staining and chemical corrosion
- Core Film: Highly elastic, designed to absorb impacts from road debris, with puncture resistance and yellowing resistance
- Adhesive Layer: An acrylic adhesive that ensures the paint protection film adheres tightly to the original paintwork and leaves no residue upon removal

7.5 mil PPF Quality Control: 8 Tests You Should Know
Thickness
To ensure that our PPF meets the standard thickness of 7.5 mil (190.5 micrometers), we use a high-precision thickness gauge to take measurements at various points across the film.
Adhesion
We conduct 180° peel tests and initial adhesion tests on PPF adhesive systems to measure the force required to peel the film from a standard test glass panel. This ensures that the peel strength remains within a safe range and that the film can be easily removed after aging.
Stretchability

We use a tensile tester to test the tensile strength of the film material. Our high-quality 7.5 mil PPF has an elongation at break of over 300% and shows no whitening or tearing after being stretched.
Self-Healing
We created standard scratches on the surface of 7.5 mil PPF using a brass wire brush, then gently heated the area with a heat gun to observe the scratch-recovery process. Our tests showed that minor scratches disappeared within a few minutes.
UV Resistance
We simulated outdoor exposure to intense sunlight by placing the samples in a UV accelerated weathering tester, where they underwent several thousand hours of cyclic UV-A/UV-B irradiation and alternating wet-heat cycles. After prolonged exposure, our 7.5 mil PPF showed no signs of becoming brittle or cracking.
Yellowing Resistance

Using a color difference meter, we recorded the ΔE and yellowing index (YI) of the 7.5 mil PPF film before and after aging. Upon comparison, the changes in ΔE and YI for our PPF were found to comply with industry standards, ensuring long-term optical clarity throughout the warranted lifespan.
Hydrophobicity
By measuring the water contact angle on the film surface using a water contact angle meter, we found that our 7.5 mil PPF has a water contact angle of over 110°. This high hydrophobicity helps reduce water spots on the surface of the car wrap.
Surface Appearance
To ensure the high-quality finish of the PPF surface, we carefully inspect for air bubbles, scratches, orange peel, and foreign particles to guarantee that the film faithfully replicates the original paint finish after installation.
High-quality 7.5 mil PPF is specially formulated to effectively reduce the risk of yellowing caused by UV rays. Our PPF is made from UV-resistant materials and can maintain optical clarity for 5 to 10 years, depending on product grade, climate and exposure conditions. Some lower-quality PPF products are more prone to yellowing. Additionally, we offer a warranty against abnormal yellowing under normal usage conditions.
Yes. If both products use the same TPU substrate, coating, and adhesive, they can provide nearly identical paint protection.
Yes, we can develop custom chameleon color-shift films where the hue changes with viewing angle, based on your requested color pair or spectrum.
The lead time for our 7.5 mil PPF depends on order quantity: 2 days for 1-10 rolls, 4 days for 11-50 rolls, and 6 days for 51-100 rolls. Larger bulk orders and custom projects will be confirmed upon order review. Shipping time is additional and depends on destination and method.
Our standard MOQ for 7.5 mil PPF is 5 rolls for bulk orders. For custom logo branding the MOQ is 50 rolls, and for custom packaging the MOQ is 100 rolls. Smaller sample orders can also be negotiated for first-time buyers.
Our 7.5 mil TPU PPF products come with a 5 to 10-year warranty depending on the specific grade and thickness selected. The warranty covers yellowing, cracking, delamination and loss of self-healing properties under normal use and professional installation.
